Fall has finally made its grand entrance! yay! As I type this, the windows are open, letting in the sweet crisp air, the trees are painting the sidewalks in beautiful gold and red, and the smell of my pumpkin pie candle and fresh coffee dance in the air...
...I guess it would be more romantic to say that the smell of a pumpkin pie baking in the oven dances in the air, but I know myself. If I bake it, I eat it! I have discovered that pumpkin pie candles are less calorie dense. ;)
I'm also listening to "All About That Bass." Hey, we can't all be Martha Stewart! #idowhatiwant
Not all of us have the time, energy, creativity, or patience to create a home that looks like it's apart of Country Living or Better Homes and Gardens. AND THAT'S OKAY! Enjoying this beautiful time of the year doesn't take a house full of Pinterest projects.
I love Fall. Partially because it's stupidly simple to create that cozy fall feeling that we can all enjoy after a long day (whatever gets me closer to my Tyler!)
Why do you think I leave the windows open in the evening? Perfect excuse to cuddle. Here's what you need to create this experience...
Materials:
1. Open Windows
2. Cozy Blanket
3. Something to sit on (even if it's the floor).
Why do I always keep apple cider in the fridge? I warm that deliciousness up, add a little bit of bourbon or scotch, and voila! perfect evening Fall drink with my babe.
Materials:
1. Store bought refrigerated apple cider.
2. Microwave or stove to heat up the apple cider
3. Another ingredient of your choice to make it a little warmer, like Bourbon or Scotch.
Other things that could take this Fall thing to a whole other level (if you have these things, great! If not...it's not the end of the world!)
1. Fall scented candles.
2. Kettlecorn (I may be a little obsessed).
To all of you hard working guys and gals who are not Martha Minions, I raise my whiskey cider cup to you. Here's to getting back to the basics, and really enjoying Fall as it should be enjoyed!
